NATO Secretary General urged Russia to publish in advance a schedule of military exercises

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on the Russian authorities to inform about the beginning of military exercises, for example, publish this information on the Internet. He stated this during a security conference in Munich.

“I think we should upgrade the bilateral inspection regime and to announce our plans to hold military exercises. Including those held in a short time. We publish a schedule of exercises of the Alliance page on the Internet, and I invite Russia to do the same,” — said Stoltenberg.

According to him, NATO and Russia need dialogue to clearly convey their intentions, attitudes and expectations. NATO Secretary General also expressed the need to expand “transparency and predictability, and to reduce risks of occurrence of undesirable situations”.
