“No one is interested in a new war, but a ground operation is a complete long war”, – said Medvedev.

He explained the Russian position regarding the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. “Russia does not support President Assad, it maintains friendly relations with the Syrian government, said the head of the Russian government. We believe that currently in Syria there is not a single legitimate representative, in addition to Bashar al-Assad – whether you like it or not.”

Medvedev noted that if currently “pull” the Syrian leader from this construction, we get chaos. “We have seen in other Arab countries,” he said.

Completely Dmitry Medvedev’s interview will be shown tonight.
