In the Kremlin explained the resignation of the head of the Zabaikalye territory


Vladimir Putin “personally dip” understood the situation in the Zabaikalsky Krai and Karelia, told reporters the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

According to Peskov, the final decision about resignation of the Governor of Transbaikalian territory Konstantin Ilkovsky and reprimanded the head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen had been taken the night before, when the President met with the heads of both regions.

Peskov said that the President was engaged in the regions after the meeting with members of the government, which was held last week and which the President reported on the failure of the resettlement programme of emergency housing in these areas.

It became clear that these subjects of Federation regularly received money from the Fund assisting the restructuring of housing and public utilities, said Sands. However, the TRANS-Baikal territory in 2015 has not begun to implement their obligations under the program, and in Karelia in the past year was accomplished by about 11%, said the President’s press Secretary. Now, “in theory”, the regions should pay from the budget “penalties”, said Peskov. For the territory amounts to 400 million rubles.

Peskov stressed that the situation in the regions “is poor in many ways”. In particular, the President’s press Secretary referred to “bloated administrative apparatus”. In the TRANS-Baikal region, it is almost twice the national average, said Sands.

Answering a question , he noted that the situation in TRANS-Baikal, Karelia different. Therefore, head of Karelia received just a reprimand, follows from the words of Peskov. However, he stressed that the Governor of Transbaikalia has resigned at own will. Information about the new head of the region “appears as the President will decide”.

In the morning, on February 17, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of the head of Transbaikalian edge. The head of Karelia was reprimanded because of failure of obligations on resettlement of citizens of emergency housing.
