Kiev denied permission to fly over Crimea

Ukrainian authorities denied the information about the permission to airlines to resume flights to Crimea. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

On Thursday, the WSJ citing a statement by the European Agency for aviation safety (EASA) announced that the Agency has recommended air carriers to consider the possibility of resuming flights over the Crimea.

In the opinion of the EASA we are talking exclusively about the routes in the airspace over the Black sea, which do not affect the territory of Crimea, according to Ukrainian Ministry. Authorities insist that the sky over the Crimea and territorial waters remains closed, and that media reports in the Ministry called a mistake.
