MOSCOW, February 18. The Rosselkhoznadzor may impose temporary restrictions on import of regulated products from Turkey, including pomegranates, peppers and cabbage.

According to him, currently the Agency evaluates the situation with the supply of contaminated vegetable products from Turkey. “We are actively working on this issue. Delivery this (crop – approx. ed) products may be covered by phytosanitary risks”, – said the representative of Rosselkhoznadzor.

Sanctions against Turkey

Russia from January 1, 2016 banned the import of certain foodstuffs from Turkey. In particular, Turkey will not be able to export strawberries, oranges, tangerines, grapes, apples, pears, apricots, peaches and nectarines, plums, strawberries, and strawberries.
