The head of Rosaviation Alexander Neradko said that the European Agency for aviation safety (EASA) has no relation to air traffic services over the Black sea. According to him, the problems of flights in the airspace of Crimea will be discussed at a special working group of the International civil aviation organization ICAO in March 2016.
“The European Agency for safety has nothing to do with the air traffic services over the Black sea. So their statement is totally politicized, the more it is not consistent with the decisions of the International civil aviation organization (ICAO), which established a special task force, which is due to meet in March for its first meeting” — quoted by TASS statement Neradko, made on the sidelines of the Krasnoyarsk economic forum.
He said that in the group invited to participate the riparian countries of the black sea basin that are affected by this problem. “EASA is not invited. Will discuss the problems associated with flights in the flight information region of Simferopol”, — said the head of Federal air transport Agency.
As announced on 17 February, the newspaper The Wall Street Journal, the European Agency for aviation security (EASA) announced that airlines can resume flights over the Crimea. In aviation the Agency allegedly concluded that the risks associated with the transition of Crimea under Russian jurisdiction, to the airlines decreased.
