FAS filed a case against the network of restaurants “IL Patio” because of the ads


MOSCOW, February 20. The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) initiated proceedings against the company “Rosinter restaurants holding”, which owns a chain of restaurants “IL Patio”, on the grounds of violation of the law “On advertising”.

The case was initiated because of advertising which has been disseminated on the territory of Moscow metro. The poster child in the way of the chef, accompanied by the inscription: “Need a chef. Age from 4 to 14 years, work experience is not mandatory”. In the lower left corner is the trademark “IL Patio” in the upper left hand corner is the coat of arms of the city of Moscow and the inscription “With the support of the government of Moscow”.

“In advertising there is no information that would attest to charitable and other useful public purposes, as well as safeguarding the interests of the state, in the focus of advertising”, – stated in the message Department. Thus, the FAS believes that the advertisement does not meet the status of social advertising is the advertising of the product.

According to paragraph 2 of part 5 article 5 of the Federal law from 13.03.2006 № 38-FZ “On advertising” in advertising it is not permitted that the object of advertising is approved by public authorities or local government bodies or their officials.

The hearing is scheduled for March 25.
