MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS /. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry of Finance before March 15, to discuss further the question of establishing a zero percent VAT rate on transportation of passengers and Luggage by railway transport of General use in long-distance. Relevant instructions have been given, as the press service of the government, on 9 February in Tver meeting on the development of transport engineering.
Thus, according to the report, the Ministry of transport jointly with the Ministry of industry and trade and the Ministry of economic development should submit to the Ministry of Finance before March 1 of feasibility study of zero VAT on the carriage of passengers and Luggage by rail long-distance.
Medvedev also instructed the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of economic development, the Ministry of transport, the Federal Antimonopoly service of Russia to present to the government before March 30, proposals for the preservation in 2017-2018-zero rates of VAT on the value added to the carriage of passengers and Luggage by railway transport in suburban following, and also the ratio of 0.01 to infrastructure tariff ensuring full cost recovery of infrastructure owner at the expense of means of the Federal budget.
