The authorities decided to petition the court to mitigate the measure of restraint for supernumerary criminal case against top Manager of Domodedovo airport Svetlana Trichinae, said in a statement on the website of the RCDS. The result offers to release her from jail and sent under house arrest.
As explained in the TFR, the decision was made due to the fact that “at the present time obtained for more information about the need for constant care of a minor child Svetlana Trichinae”. The document with the request to change the measure of restraint sent to the Basmanny district court of Moscow.
A plea for mitigation of a measure of restraint has received in the Basmanny court, hearing date is not appointed yet, transfers TASS with reference to the representative of the court.
The lawyer of Trichinae Olga Makridin said he learned about the intention of the investigation to change it the defendant the measure of restraint from the media. “We certainly welcome this decision, probably a consequence gradually began to understand the situation and came to the conclusion that Trishina poses no public danger,” said the lawyer.
Makridin noted that during the time spent with her doveritelnyi in jail, it was not carried out any investigative actions, including interrogations. According to her, Trishina is being held in a women’s remand prison in Pechatniki.
Previously Makridin said at a press conference that he considers the detention of Trichinae as pressure, because a top Manager was taken from the hospital, where she remained for elective surgery with a young child.
The day before, on February 19, the Basmanny court decided to send under house arrest the owner of Domodedovo Dmitry Kamenshchik.
First, the TFR was applied on putting Kamenshchik into custody, as mentioned in the official report about the arrest of the owner of Domodedovo. During the meeting of the Basmanny court it became known that the petition to send Kamenshchik to jail revoked. The protection of Kamenshchik and the Prosecutor’s office appealed the decision on house arrest.
Svetlana Trishina was arrested on 8 February. She previously headed the Russian representative office of Airport Management Company Limited this company operates the Domodedovo airport. The next day the court arrested the former Director of the airport complex of Domodedovo Vyacheslav Nekrasov and former managing Director of “Domodedovo airport aviation security” Andrey Danilov. They were charged under part 3 of article 238 of the RF criminal code (fulfillment of works or rendering of services that do not meet the requirements of safety, entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons). The same charges this week sued the owner of the Kamenshchik airport.
According to investigators, Kamenshchik, Nekrasov, Trishina and Daniel in the period from 2009 to 2010, has implemented a new screening system at the entrances to the airport, “which has led to increased vulnerability of the airport and as a consequence providing services in the field of civil aviation that does not meet safety requirements”. Introduced technology, says the TFR, has reduced the time spent by passengers and visitors at the entrances, but it “increased the likelihood of carrying an explosive device”. As a result, in the building of the airport in January 2011 freely passed, a suicide bomber Magomed Evloev and blew himself up in the crowd. Then, 37 people were killed, 170 were wounded.
Earlier, a source in law enforcement agencies told TASS that the investigation was declared wanted by the accomplice of terrorists involved in the attack at the airport. According to the interlocutor of the Agency, it is about 35-the summer native of Vladikavkaz. He was wanted for other crimes and, as it turned out, was also involved in preparation of a terrorist attack at Domodedovo airport in the gang, “the Riyadh-as-Salihin”, who was banned in the Russian terrorist group “Caucasus Emirate”, said the source.
