Amnesty International has accused Russia of “egregious crimes” in Syria

In an interview with Sky News, one of the leaders for Amnesty Tirana Hassan said that the organization has documentary evidence of the blows the Russian and Syrian aviation schools, hospitals and homes in the territories controlled by opponents of President Bashar al-Assad.

According to her, the bombing of civilian targets is a war crime, however, “egregious”, according to her, is the fact that the planes supposedly go around and attack those same objects, when there are arriving emergency personnel to evacuate the injured and wounded.

As proof, Hassan gave Sky a video showing the consequences of bombing a residential neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, where he died including a small child. It is claimed that an airstrike struck a Russian military aircraft.

Amnesty International repeatedly made accusations against the Russian military. So, 23 December 2015, the organization published a report stating that the planes of the Russian space forces attacked, including mosques and markets.

The Russian military has repeatedly indicated that during the operations in Syria, the aircraft HQs only attack the positions of terrorist and extremist organizations, causing them surgical strikes. Commenting on a December report by Amnesty International, official representative of the Ministry of defense Igor Konashenkov said that it consists of “fakes and stamps”. In turn, the VC commander-in-chief Viktor Bondarev stressed that during the operations in Syria, Russian pilots never missed and never attacked the prohibited objects – schools, hospitals, mosques.
