Commissioner of the President of Ukraine on settlement of the conflict in the East Irina Gerashchenko said that the Ukrainian military prisoners, who are held captive by the militias of the breakaway republics of Donbass, stopped torture. It happened, according to her, as a result of negotiations in Minsk.
“Important (and it is indeed a small but significant achievements of Minsk, which stress the ex-hostages): after the work of the Minsk group stopped torturing the hostages. This confirms once again how important public attention to the topic of prisoners”, — she wrote on his page in Facebook.
According to her, the key problem faced by the Minsk group, is an attempt “other side” to tie the issue of release of prisoners to Amnesty. “Yesterday once again about this “requirement” stated the representative of Russia Boris Gryzlov” — said the politician.
