As informs Agency “Interfax”, the rally organized on the main square of Kiev organization “Revolutionary right-wing forces”, collected from 500 to 1000 people. According to eyewitnesses, the protest began peacefully, and was brought to the area the wood was used for heating the protesters.
Earlier, the organizers of the rally, among whom were several members of the volunteer battalions involved in the fighting in the Donbas, announced their demands to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the government in General. They stated the need for the resignation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, head of the National Bank, the General staff and the Council for national security and defense. In the case of maintaining the present political course radicals don’t rule out impeachment of the President of the country Petro Poroshenko.
In addition, the organizers of the rally demanded to declare martial law on the territory of the breakaway republics of Donbass and in Crimea. Another demand was the removal of the Minsk agreements, which they described as “anti-people”, reports the Ukrainian edition of “Vesti”.
On the convening of a “people’s Council” declared the men in camouflage, who the day before occupied by the hotel “Cossack” in the center of Kiev. After days of negotiations, they promised to leave the territory of the hotel after the meeting. In this part of the radicals is the seven army tents erected on the square the day before.
The speaker of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine Artem Shevchenko shortly before the rally on independence promised that the police will not use force against protesters. According to him, people have the right peacefully to press their claims to power.
Among the leaders of the “Revolutionary right-wing forces” – former activists of “Right sector” (banned in Russia as extremist organization), of the volunteer battalions “Aidar”, “West”.
