The magazine The New Times published an excerpt from the report of an opposition politician Ilya Yashin on the anniversary of the murder of Boris Nemtsov in Central Moscow.
The head of “Private army” describes the power structures of the Chechen Republic, which, according to the author, are subject not to the Federal government and personally the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov. Citing experts, the report States that the number of units that the head of Chechnya called the “combat infantry” of Vladimir Putin, is about 30 thousand people. The author also claims that the Chechen fighters participated in a military conflict in Eastern Ukraine on the side of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic. According to him, most of them former separatist, Kadyrov amnestied.
