MOSCOW, February 24. In the Kremlin considered it premature to talk about whether there will be Ramzan Kadyrov, head of Chechnya for a new term or will be offered to another candidate. The journalists said the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“It’s premature. There is also a fixed term (of office of the head of Chechnya). By the end of this period the President the decision will be taken”, – said the representative of the Kremlin, reminding that such decisions of the head of state never announced in advance.
Previously Kadyrov said that is not yet decided whether to run for another term as head of the region. His term expires in early April.
Elections of the head of Chechnya will be held in the Republic in a single day of voting – September 18, 2016. Ramzan Kadyrov has headed the region since 2007.
