Ukrainian TV channel showed a story with the map without Crimea


The plot, which was shown the map of Ukraine without Crimea, aired Melitopol channel “MTV-plus”. As reports the edition “Crimea.Realities”, the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine is preparing an appeal to the editorial office of the TV channel.

“We have tomorrow [February 24] will send an official letter from the Ministry in the editorial office of the TV channel was asked to explain why he was shown this card. The letter also demand the return of Crimea to the map of Ukraine”, – said the adviser of Minister of information policy of Ukraine on the Crimea Emine Jeppar.

Earlier Kiev has already expressed dissatisfaction with the Crimea was depicted as not belonging to Ukraine. So, in January a scandal erupted due to the publication of maps of Ukraine and the Russian Crimea in the Italian magazine Limes. It was about the material called “Military activity of Russia in 2015”. Map, which accompanies the material was posted on the page of the magazine on Twitter, while the article itself was available only by paid subscription. Then the Ambassador of Ukraine in Italy asked the journal to correct the published map.

Prior to this, the Coca-Cola company on his page in social network “Vkontakte” placed banner advertising on which was depicted a stylized map of Russia with Crimea. January 5, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA expressed concern about the Coca-Cola company and the U.S. Department of state in connection with the appearance of the publication. The diplomatic mission stressed that the actions of the company “contrary to the policy of the United States and the world community and are unacceptable.” Later, the image of the map was removed from the page Coca-Cola in the social network, and the company apologized to Kiev.

At the end of January it became known that ukrainskoy Prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case on the fact of publication of the banner.
