Russia and the United States circulated a UN security Council draft resolution on a ceasefire in Syria, Reuters reports. The Council plans to put it to a vote on Friday afternoon.
The draft, seen by the Agency, all members of the UN security Council urged to “use their influence on the parties” to cease hostilities.
The document also calls on all parties to the conflict to give the opportunity to work in Syria for humanitarian aid workers. The delivery of aid to civilians is one of the main purposes of the armistice, reminds Reuters.
