In Syria officially came into force a ceasefire. Under the terms of which Russia and the United States agreed to 22 February, the truce in the country begins at midnight Saturday, February 27, by time of Damascus.
According to the plan, from Saturday military action, including air strikes of the Syrian air force, the Russian space forces and the US-led coalition, will continue only in respect of the banned in Russia “Islamic state” and “dzhebhat EN-Nusra” and other terrorist organizations identified by the UN security Council.
As previously reported in the U.S. Department of state, the terms of the agreement agreed the Higher Committee on negotiations of the Syrian opposition (BCP), Syrian democratic forces and the vast majority of the armed groups. Representatives of the CPSU reported that the ceasefire agreed to abide by nearly 100 rebel associations.
