PETROZAVODSK, February 28. /Corr. Igor Lukyanov/. Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen intends to update the regional government until the end of March. He also intends to return to the Constitution of the Republic of the post of Prime Minister, reported press Secretary of the head of Karelia Marina Kabatak.

“The head of Karelia intends to initiate amendments to the Constitution of the Republic, returning to the post of Prime Minister. In the near future a legislative initiative will be submitted to the Karelian Parliament. It is expected that by the end of March, the corresponding changes will be made, and by this time in the Republic formed a new government,” said Kabatak.

The candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the government of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen already there, she said, without naming names.

The President of the Russian Federation on 17 February reprimanded the head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen “in connection with a breach of the obligations on the organization of resettlement of citizens from emergency available housing”. Then, on February 18, Khudilainen has sent the Republic government in resignation. The new composition of the regional Cabinet shall be formed in March.

Currently the government of Karelia consists of 11 people: head of Karelia, eight of his deputies, and the Minister of Finance and Minister of justice of the Republic.
