GENEVA, 28 February. /Corr. Konstantin Pribytkov/. State Institute of Russian language named after A. S. Pushkin was working on a programme of training of officials to public appearances. Reported about it in conversation with the correspondent of the Institute rector Margarita Rusetskaya, who took part on Saturday in Geneva at the international forum “the Russian language: history and modernity”.

“Now we are working on a training program for public speaking and development of communication skills for civil servants, officials of the highest level,” she said, adding that there’s already a training program for media representatives.
Rusetsky has reminded of two conducted by the Institute of monitoring – analysis of literacy in the media and the analysis of public speeches of politicians. As for officials, we were selected the “most quoted”. “They were Federal Ministers, governors, mayors and deputies of the state Duma. We evaluated spontaneous and unscripted oral public statements, comments and interviews,” – said the Agency interlocutor. In her words, “it turned out that the most competent among these four subgroups of our Federal Ministers, and to tighten up language we recommend that the governors”.
The rector said that with the world Association of Russian press (WARP) the Institute of Russian language is now discussing the monitoring of Russian-language press abroad. “They (representatives WARP) very interested in this,” said Margarita Rusetskaya.
In turn, the head of the press service of the Aspen Institute Daria explained that “in Moscow was held the conference, organized by the WARP, and we agreed to hold a competition for foreign versions of Russian press with the possibility of training in Russia for the winners”.
