“Alfa-group” decided not to buy “a daughter” Raiffeisen Bank International

Sale Austrian online Bank Zuno ABH Holdings S. A. (part of the consortium “Alfa-Group”, owns the majority stake in Alfa-Bank ) will not take place, writes in its release the RBI. ABH Holdings S. A., which RBI agreed to sell last year, got out of transactions, specified in the press release. The reason for the output not related to the condition of the asset sold, says RBI.

The transaction was not completed within the stipulated time for reasons not associated with the agreements, said the press service of “Alfa-Group” on request . The group will continue the development of its business in Europe on the platform of Amsterdam trade Bank, added there.

Information about a possible deal emerged in September last year. RBI has reported that the sale of a subsidiary Bank will be one of the measures to support capital. Alfa-Bank planned to use the experience and achievements of the Bank for the construction of Zuno direct Bank in Russia.

Zuno bank is a small Bank RBI working in the markets of Slovenia and the Czech Republic. At the end of 2015 it employed 200 employees, the Bank 25 thousand customers, the amount of deposits in Bank amounts to Euro 775 million, total loan portfolio of EUR 75 million.

At the beginning of last year, Raiffeisen Bank International has announced that it plans to reduce its business in Russia, Ukraine and Hungary and to sell Polish and Slovenian units. Due to this, the Bank is going to the end of 2017 to increase the capital adequacy ratio to 12%.
