The largest Federal channels — “First”, “Russia 1”, NTV and REN — TV are concealed in the TV news about the murder of four girls that took place on 29 February in the North-West of Moscow.
In the morning near the metro station “October field” police detained the woman in the black hijab, who shouted “Allah Akbar!” and was holding the bloody head of a child. Arrested were 38-year-old native of Uzbekistan, Gulchehra Bobokulov, who was the nanny of the murdered child.
Using the service Tv-news-online.com and sites TV watched the news channel, “Russia 1”, NTV, REN TV and TVC, which aired after the detention of Bobokulov. Only in the news, REN TV at 12:30 GMT managed to find the story about the killing in the North-West of Moscow. In subsequent newscasts in 16:30, 19:30 and 23:00 mention of the events at the station “October field” was not. Reporters watched the news on the “First” (issues for 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and at 21:00), “Russia-1” (issues during 14:00, 17:00 and 20:00), NTV (issues for 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22.30) — none of them had any mention of the murder. Not told about this and the Moscow TV channel TVC (in news releases 12:00, 14:30, 22:00).
Among the principal subjects taught by TV channels in final news, were a Requiem for the dead at the mine in Vorkuta, police clash with refugees in Europe and the award ceremony “Oscar”, held on 28 February.
Two employees of different Federal channels told that the major broadcasters have received the recommendation not to show on air stories about child murder. The explanation to both of them that the authorities were afraid to draw attention to the national question.
In the Kremlin deny it. “It is not. It’s the channels themselves did not show the crazy. But we support them,” said the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.
Official representatives “the First channel”, RTR (includes “Russia-1”) and REN TV are unable to comment on why the news came out the story about this crime. A representative of NTV did not answer the call of the correspondent .
On the websites of almost all TV channels (except site “the First channel”, which publishes only news broadcast) has been published on several text news about the incident. Some of them were used YouTube videos or CCTV, but no one channel did not show their own videos.
