Loading on RZD network in February increased by 2.9% to 95,2 million tons


MOSCOW, 1 March. Loading on the network of JSC “Russian Railways” (RZD) in February 2016 has increased compared to the same period in 2015 by 2.9% to 95,2 million tons, is spoken in the message of the company.

Freight turnover in February increased compared to the same period last year by 5.9% to 184,9 billion tariff ton km freight Turnover taking into account the mileage of wagons in empty condition at the same time increased by 5.4% and reached 237,4 billion ton-km.

According to operational data, loading in January-February 2016 amounted to $ 188,963 million tons, which corresponds to the figure for the same period a year earlier.

The company notes the growth of loading of coal to 55.1 million tons (+3.1% January-February 2015), chemical and mineral fertilizers – to 8.9 mln tons (+6,4%), timber cargo – up to 6,2 million tons (+0,9%), grain – 3.1 million tons (+0,5%), construction cargo – to 16.9 million tons (+19.3 per cent) and non-ferrous ore and sulfur raw materials – up to 3.3 million tons (+6.3 per cent).

Decreased loading of coke to 1.6 million tonnes (-4,3%), oil and oil products – up to 40.6 million tons (is -5.9%), iron and manganese ore – up to 17,3 million tons (-1%), ferrous metals – up to 11,2 million tons (- 8,5%), ferrous metals – 1,2 million tons (-26,1%), cement – to 2,6 million tons (was 14.8%), chemicals and soda – 4.2 million tons (-0.6%), as well as industrial raw materials and molding materials to 4.2 million tons (of 1.4%).
