MOSCOW, March 2. The Ministry has proposed to completely abandon the state regulation of prices on cheap drugs, the appropriate letter to the Agency in mid-February was sent to the government of the Russian Federation. Based on the reports for April-December 2015 67 enterprises producing drugs of the lower and middle price segment, the Ministry of industry and trade noted a significant reduction in production due to unprofitability, caused by the inability to re-register the price of the drugs on “the level of increase in the cost of production.”

As a temporary solution to this problem, the Ministry offers subsidies to unprofitable industries according to three criteria: minimum production is 5 million packages, the proportion of essential drugs – more than 40% and the number of employees exceeds 300 people.

To solve the problem, the Ministry proposes in 2016 to grant Russian producers the right to re-register prices on cheap drugs, “forward”, and curbing the growth of prices to ensure “competition”. In this case, as the Agency notes in the same letter, if, according to Roszdravnadzor, in the increase of prices of cheap essential medicines over the past year was 5.9%, the increase in retail prices of drugs with fixed price during the same period was 31%.

On the eve of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a plan of action in the economy for 2016, aimed at ensuring sustainable socio-economic development and providing for a large block of social measures. In the execution of the budget is planned to allocate funds to market not gone cheap Russian drugs cost up to 50 rubles.
