Putin replaced the Governor of the Tver region

The head of the Tver region Andrey Shevelev has left his post. On the position of acting Governor of the Tver President Vladimir Putin appointed Igor Rudeni, reports TASS.

On the appointment of the acting Governor of the Tver region, Putin declared at a meeting with Igor Rudenim 2 March.

“We’re talking to all of you. You people are very experienced, and the Department was headed by the government, and the Deputy Minister were. So maybe on the new job, I hope, use all your knowledge, experience and organizational skills”, — said Putin.

In turn, Rudina said he will do everything to justify the trust and become an effective leader”. The President also endorsed the possible candidature of Rudeni for the gubernatorial elections in September of this year. “I very much hope that you, after working there for six months, will be able to prove to people that you are able to lead this region,” said Putin.
