Smolny “saving every penny” and can refuse to move in “Neva town hall”

Authorities of St.-Petersburg is ready to decline the offer to move committees into a single multifunctional complex “Nevskaya Ratusha”, built VTB, the savings of budget funds. This was reported to journalists by the Chairman of the Committee on economic policy and strategic planning of St. Petersburg (Kapap) Elena Ulyanova.

According to the agreement with the investor, the project would cost Smolny at 14 billion rubles for 10 years.

“Yes, such talks are underway. If there is a buyer (instead of the government of St. Petersburg – approx.TASS), we would be not against” – said Ulyanov.

Smolny “saving every penny”, she added. “It is clear that even 1.4 billion a year today – that’s a lot”, – said the head of the Committee.

As previously reported, the authorities of St. Petersburg when amendments to the budget for 2015 struck out item of expenditure to 2.1 billion rubles, which was laid on the purchase of the premises is for the relocation of the committees in IFC “Nevskaya Ratusha”. The “VTB development” has already received permission for the commissioning of the corps “Smolny” with an area of 115 thousand sq. m. There was supposed to carry 9 committees of the Smolny and 15 affiliated institutions. To recoup the relocation, the authorities have expressed the intention to sell released after moving to the area.

Under the agreement with VTB Bank, the city agreed on installment for 10 years to buy the building.
