“Europe has finally put a cross in Ukraine, and only political correctness prevented the President of the European Commission to say it without any equivocation,” – said the Senator.

He is sure that now it’s time to “remove the rose-colored glasses” and recognize the “obvious fact”: Ukraine, “breaking ties with Russia, while leaps and bounds and away from Europe”. “Today, between them, a wall, and the road to nowhere is a direct consequence of the Maidan”, – said the Klintsevich. “I don’t know how to survive Ukraine, left alone with their problems”, he concluded.

The head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in a speech at the Hague on 14-readings of the name Norbert Smelter, said that “Ukraine, without doubt, will not be able to join the EU in the next 20-25 years, the same applies to NATO membership”. He also confirmed the thesis that the EU requires “a long pause before taking on new member States”, but this does not apply to the Balkan countries with which the EU is already negotiating for membership.
