Maserati is Recalling more than 28 thousand cars from North American market

NEW YORK, March 12. The Italian company Maserati announced a recall from the market of North America 28 235 cars models Quattroporte and Ghibli because of the danger of getting the rug under the feet of the driver on the accelerator pedal, which can lead to uncontrolled dispersal. This was reported today the National Department of traffic safety on the highways of the USA (NHTSA).

“If the Mat moves and gets stuck between the pedal and the carpet, this can cause abrupt acceleration of the vehicle, which could cause a crash, serious injury or death,” – said in a statement posted on the NHTSA website.

Service campaign will begin April 29 and will affect cars produced in the period from 1 February 2013 to 30 November 2015. The automaker will replace the driver’s Mat and possibly the accelerator pedal. All work will be performed by dealers free of charge.
