The U.S. has provided Russia with detailed information about the circumstances surrounding the death of former press Minister Mikhail Lesin. About it “RIA Novosti” was told by the Russian Ambassador in Washington Sergey Kislyak.
“We have quite a long time and consistently turn to U.S. authorities to get all comprehensive information. But still we have not received,” — said the diplomat.
Yesterday state Department spokesman John Kirby said that the Russian side had provided all the necessary information. During a briefing (transcript available on the website), one of the journalists noted that the Russian foreign Ministry said about the lack of information on the case of Lesina, and asked why this information had not been provided by Moscow.
“D.C. police continue to investigate what is happening, it has provided evidence to the Russian government, said the spokesman, refusing to comment on the investigation. — The state Department tries to help to facilitate this dialogue and continue to do so. As I understand it, the information was presented.”
