Lavrov: the fight against terrorism must be fought without double standards


MOSCOW, March 14. The fight against terrorism must be fought without double standards and interference in the internal Affairs of States. This was stated on Monday the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov following talks with Tunisian counterpart Haysom Zenawi.

“Supported Tunisia in its fight against the terrorist threat, he said. – Cooperation against terrorism must be waged with an emphasis on international law, without double standards, without interference in the internal Affairs of States”.

The question of equipping the Tunisian special forces

Lavrov also noted that the issue of equipment of the Russian Federation, the Tunisian special forces to combat terror is discussed.

Russia is grateful to the Tunisian

Lavrov also noted that Russia is grateful to Tunisia for supporting the idea of creating a single large-scale coalition against terrorism.

“We are grateful to our Tunisian friends for their support of the initiative, put forward by President Vladimir Putin, creating a wide antiterroristicheskogo front”, he said.

According to Lavrov, Russia in turn “supports the Tunisian leadership in the fight against the terrorist threat”.

Lavrov noted the similarity of positions of two countries in regard to the rejection of terrorism, “a common effort to this global evil to confront.”
