As reported TASS, citing the statement of the state Corporation Roscosmos, the combination of upper stage and spacecraft Trace Gas Orbiter and Schiaparelli successfully separated from the third stage of the rocket. “Spacecraft launched on earth orbit”, — said the representative of Roscosmos.
Further on a trajectory to Mars, the spacecraft must withdraw the upper stage.
ExoMars is a joint project of the Russian state Corporation and the European space Agency (ESA) Mars exploration.
In its first phase (Exo-Mars-2016) the orbital module of the Trace Gas Orbiter to study trace gases of the atmosphere and the distribution of water ice in the Martian soil, using Russian scientific equipment.
