Citizens of the USA and Britain accused of spying on military airfields of Russia

Several British military diplomats and U.S. citizen had carried out illegal surveillance of objects of Military space forces of the Russian Federation, reports “Interfax” citing a source in Russian security services.

According to the interlocutor of Agency, the beginning of March, air attaché of the British Embassy in Moscow Carl Scott and assistant naval attaché R. Coatalen-Hodgson without the necessary authorization called for Mozdok district of North Ossetia, which is included in the list of territories with regulated access for foreign nationals.

“During their trip recorded the fact of British diplomats covert surveillance of the territory of military airfield of Mozdok with the use of special photos and video. After registration of administrative offences of subjects of the United Kingdom was asked to leave the closed to foreigners,” said the source.

He said that earlier in 2012, Scott was already arrested by law enforcement officials in Alagir region of North Ossetia for illegal penetration into the territory with regulated visiting for foreign citizens.

In addition, the interlocutor of Agency has told about detention of U.S. citizens of Filmer Sex Brian near a military airfield Chkalovsky. The detention took place in March 2016. “He used tuned to a frequency of the control Center of flights on the police scanner and was carried out by photographing the object operated on airplanes military and special purpose”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
