MOSCOW, 15 Mar. Gazprom expects gas production in the framework of the Eastern gas program by 2020 at the level of 10-16 billion cubic meters, says the company.
“Eastern envisages the establishment of a Sakhalin, Yakut, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk and Kamchatka gas production centers. Production in these regions is expected to reach 10-16 billion cubic meters of natural gas by 2020”, — stated in the Memorandum “Gazprom” prepared to issue Eurobonds.
The overall Outlook for the group “Gazprom” by 2020, the company left unchanged 450-510 billion cubic meters of gas.
State “Program of creation in Eastern Siberia and the far East uniform system of extraction, transportation of gas and gas supply taking into account possible gas exports to markets of China and other APR countries” (Eastern gas program) was approved in September 2007 by the Ministry of industry and energy of the Russian Federation. The program coordinator appointed by Gazprom.
In the East Russia has already formed gas production centers in Sakhalin and Kamchatka, began active formation of the Yakutia gas production center, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk centers. The program, along with creating gas production centers and the unified gas transmission system will synchronously develop gas processing and gas chemical production, including production of helium and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
