In Spain, on request of Moscow have detained four Russians

Civil guard of Spain has detained four persons at the request of Russia. This is stated in the message published on the Agency’s website.

The arrests were carried out in the framework of the operations “OLGA”, “USY” and “OLEG” in cooperation with the security services of other countries, the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Spain and the Russian Embassy of Russia in Madrid.

In particular, we are talking about some Michael K. and his wife Olga K., born in Bryansk region. The report notes that in 2010 a court in Russia issued an international warrant for their arrest. They are both accused of fraud and money laundering in the period from 2007 to 2009 for a total amount of €15 million.

In 2012, Olga K. was arrested in Spain and released on his own recognizance. However, while the Supreme court has handed down a decision on its extradition to Russia, the woman disappeared. To detain Olga K. and her now former spouse of Michael K. was able once managed to get on their friends in the province of Alicante.

Another arrested 52-year-old Sergei M., a native of Moscow. HE was suspected of fraud committed in 2008. Being a leading company in Russia, he took a loan of several million rubles, then fled from the country. Managed to hold him in Brione, where he lived with his wife and two children.

The fourth detainee was 26-year-old Oleg N. An international warrant for his arrest was issued by a Russian court in 2014. He is charged with drug trafficking in St. Petersburg. He was detained in the city of Terrassa Barcelona province, where he lived in recent times and worked as DJ in a club.

“The arrests are the result of continuous cooperation and exchange of information between the Civil guard and Interpol and law enforcement agencies of other States to bring to justice the criminals put on the international wanted list”, — stated in the message of the Civil guard of Spain.
