MOSCOW, March 16. “Gazprom” from January 1 to March 15, 2016, has increased gas supplies to far abroad countries by 33.5% to 36.5 billion cubic meters, according to a press release from the company.
“From January 1 through March 15 of this year “Gazprom” according to preliminary data, has put in the far abroad countries 36.5 billion cubic meters of gas”, – the press service quoted the words of Chairman of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.
He also added that the growth in comparison with last year amounted to 9 billion 155 million cubic meters of gas, or 33.5%.
In particular, exports to Germany increased by 37% and reached 9.9 billion cubic meters of gas.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian gas holding Victor Zubkov has informed that “Gazprom” in 2016 can supply Europe with 160 billion cubic meters of gas. “Gazprom” in 2015, increased gas export to far abroad countries by 8% compared to the previous year, reaching 159.4 billion cub. m. Thus, in 2016, the exports to Europe will remain almost at the level of last year. In particular, the volume of supplies in Germany for 2015 grew by 17.1%, Italy 12.6%, France – by 36.8%, in the UK by 10.2%, Austria – by 11.5%.
