Medvedev sees no prerequisites for the deepening of the economic relations of the Russian Federation and Morocco


MOSCOW, March 16. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev sees no prerequisites for the deepening of the economic relations of the Russian Federation and Morocco.

“Your visit special, though, because it marks a new page in our relations, Prime Minister said at a meeting with king of Morocco Mohammed VI. – Today we could have even more to share information about what we can do for the development of economic relations between our countries, especially now that there are all prerequisites, but there are probably some features that we haven’t used”.

The Russian Prime Minister noted that on the eve of Mohammed VI held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a lot of documents “necessary and useful for the development of our relations”.

The king of Morocco thanked Medvedev, stressing that the Moroccan party also wants to develop relations with Russia. “We talked yesterday with Mr. President, and members of the Russian government. Today I would like to reiterate this once again in Your presence, ‘ he said. Russia and Morocco have longstanding ties, Morocco is one of the largest customers of Russia in Africa”. The king also expressed gratitude for diplomatic and political assistance from Russia and assistance in the framework of the UN.
