MOSCOW, March 16. Rosaviatsia banned from 15 March 2016 “Kogalymavia” the implementation of domestic and international flights, according to a press release Agency.
“To impose restrictions in the certificate of the operator of the limited liability company “Aircompany Kogalymavia” in terms of the ban on the execution of domestic and international flights from March 15,” – said in the order of Rosaviation.
It is noted that the period of limitations “Kogalymavia” will not be able to perform flights on domestic and international routes. The decision to introduce the restrictions was made on the basis of requirements of the air legislation acts and conclusions of inspections established inconsistencies and violations, primarily in the area of financial-economic condition of the carrier, affecting flight safety.

Bankruptcy “Kogalymavia” is not critical for the industry
Earlier, transport Minister Maxim Sokolov said that the possible bankruptcy of the airline “Kogalymavia” not catastrophic for the aviation industry. Furthermore, the FTS has already filed a lawsuit in the Moscow Arbitration court on bankruptcy of the airline. The details of the claim are not disclosed.
In early November, 2015, “Kogalymavia” suspended flights four A321 aircraft, and later ceased to fly and two A320 aircraft (the entire fleet consists of six aircraft – approx. ed). “Kogalymavia” (uses the Metrojet brand) operates flights to Greece, Egypt, Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, Montenegro. In early December 2015, the company appealed to the government for reception of state guarantees for 5 billion rubles. As stated Maxim Sokolov at the beginning of March, “Kogalymavia” almost no existing aircraft, so the airline or must submit a plan of upgrading the fleet, or to leave the market. Otherwise, it will not be able to engage in international transport at the proper level, said Sokolov.
