The Supervisory Board of Sberbank has put forward former Prime Minister of Finland


Former Prime Minister of Finland Esko Tapani Aho will be recommended to shareholders for election to the Supervisory Board. About this informed the head of Bank Herman Gref, reports TASS.

“We have one new candidate. This Is Esko Aho. He is a former Prime Minister of Finland. Now he is a member of many organizations, including heads of the Russian-Finnish counsel. A very respected man, has a great reputation. Many were engaged in high technology markets. We are honored that he was nominated to the Supervisory Board”, — said Gref.

Just a list of 15 candidates for the 14 seats on the Supervisory Board. The shareholders ‘ meeting of Sberbank scheduled for may 27.

Esko Tapani Aho served as Finnish Prime Minister in 1991-1995. After the defeat in the presidential elections in 2000-2001 began to lecture at Harvard University USA. In 2008, he worked in Nokia, in 2009-m took in the company as Vice President for corporate communications, who left in 2012.
