Authorities made the classification of data on the largest shareholder of “Rosneft”

The state-owned company Rosneftegaz, a shareholder of “Rosneft”, “Gazprom” and “inter RAO UES”, has changed organizational-the legal form, according to the data SPARK. If earlier the company was an open joint stock company (JSC), has now become a non-public joint-stock company.

According to the new wording of the Civil code, Rosneftegaz acquired the right not to disclose information about themselves, including annual reports that the company published, being JSC. Now information about its activities, the company will disclose only if it wants its shareholder — the state, informs “Interfax”.

Rosneftegaz is 100% owned by the government and owns 75.2% of Rosneft’s shares, about 11% of Gazprom, and 27% of “inter RAO”. Rosneftegaz does not conduct operating activities, accumulating dividends from state-owned companies and listing in the budget only 25% of them. It is also Rosneftegaz received in 2013 money from selling BP for 5.66% of Rosneft shares at $4,87 billion, or about 150,7 billion rubles at the exchange rate at the transaction date.

The representative of the Agency was not able to quickly comment on the situation.

The net profit of Rosneftegaz by the end of 2014 (more recent statistics are not available) amounted to 184 billion rubles undistributed profit of past years (1 January 2015) — 309 billion roubles.

The Board of Directors of Rosneftegaz headed by the President of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin, acting General Director of “Rosneftegaz” Larisa Calanda, Vice-President of “Rosneft”. Also on the Board of Directors of the company includes the Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank Andrey Akimov.

According to the register on 25 February of the current year “Rosneftegaz” was cited as their activities the extraction of crude oil, natural gas and condensate, as well as the management activities of holding companies. In the beginning of March there were added “the provision of services for oil and gas,” production of building and construction work, wholesale trade, transport via pipelines, cargo handling, storage and warehousing.
