Poroshenko announced the sanctions involved in “the case Savchenko”

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko made a statement on the sentencing of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, who earlier today issued a Russian court. According to Poroshenko, Ukraine will never recognize “neither the court, nor the so-called sentence” Savchenko.

In his speech, which is published on the official YouTube channel of administration of the Ukrainian President, Poroshenko said that for those who are involved in the “persecution” of Nadiya Savchenko and Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov will be introduced personal sanctions.

“Against all those who contributed to the prosecution of Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and other Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian patriots will be introduced personal sanctions, both Ukrainian and international”, — said Poroshenko.

In addition, in his speech, the President of Ukraine said about the readiness to exchange Savchenko on “two Russian soldiers” detained on the territory of Ukraine “for participation in armed aggression against Ukraine”.

“Immediately after the completion of trials I am ready, through appropriate procedures to ensure their departure to the Russian Federation. This approach is consistent with paragraph six of the Minsk agreements on the exchange of all for all. And this should be done immediately”, — said Poroshenko.

Earlier, on March 17, the press Secretary of Ukrainian President Svyatoslav tsigalko reported that Petro Poroshenko gave the “Savchenko list” with the list of those who, in the opinion of Kiev, “fabricated case” against the Ukrainian pilot, the head of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. “The President [Poroshenko] gave the President of the European Parliament of the proposal of sanctions against those who fabricated the case against”, — said Tsegolko.

Later, the Brussels reporter of “Radio Liberty” Rickard Iovec told that the list consisted of 44 of the Russian citizen and two Ukrainians. The source of the “Interfax-Ukraine” in diplomatic circles, however, said that people on the list “is much more than called.”

On Tuesday, the Donetsk town court of the Rostov region the sentence of the Ukrainian pilot and Verkhovna Rada Deputy Nadiya Savchenko to 22 years in a General regime colony and a fine in the amount of 30 thousand rubles.

Savchenko was found guilty in committing crimes under PP “a, e, f, l” part 2 of article 105 of the criminal code, part 3 of article 30, paragraphs “a”, “e”, “f”, “l” part 2 of article 105 of the criminal code (murder and attempted murder as part of a group of persons upon a preliminary collusion of two or more persons publicly dangerous method, on motives of hatred or enmity concerning any social group) and part 1 of article 322 of the criminal code (crossing the border without valid documents for the right of entry to the Russian Federation).
