Lawyer “soldier of the GRU,” was found murdered


The lawyer of a Russian soldier Aleksandr Aleksandrov, who in Ukraine are called “fighter of the GRU, was found murdered, reported with reference to the National Association of advocates of Ukraine, the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“Today we learned the tragic news. Lawyer Yury Grabovsky found murdered. The suspects in this crime were detained, and we hope that all involved in the murder of our colleague will be punished”, — stated in the message Association. Exactly where the body was found, in the organization reported.

The disappearance of Grabowski became known on 9 March. On the website of the attorney “the fighter GRU” appeared in a Facebook post made on his behalf, that he left Ukraine because of threats to security. Colleague Grabowski Oksana Sokolovsky in conversation with “Interfax-Ukraine” doubted that the message was written by a lawyer. She also indicated that along with Grabovski disappeared prepared by the protection of the materials of the case.

The next day, the police of Odessa brought criminal case upon disappearance of the lawyer. According to the chief specialist of the Department of communications General Department of Netpolice in Odessa region Daria Yarchuk, whereabouts unknown Grabowski on March 5, 2016.

On 20 March the chief military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine” said that the suspect of involvement in the disappearance of Grabowski arrested.

According to him, the detained citizen of Ukraine “was using forged documents of special services of law enforcement agencies, as well as documents to cover up the names of other citizens” (quoted by TASS). Matios noted that the others involved in the disappearance Grabowski traveled outside of Ukraine. He once again stressed that Grabowski could not leave the country, but has not explained where there is a lawyer.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine — chief military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios said earlier that the disappearance of lawyer can be related to Russian special services. Consul of Russia in Ukraine Alexey Gross called it “an epic heresy”.

Russians Alexander Alexandrov, who was the defendant Grabowski, Eugene Erofeev and detained in may 2015 in Luhansk region. According to Kiev, they are active soldiers of the General staff of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation. The Russian defense Ministry claims that at the time of travel in the Donbas both resigned from the Russian army. The Ministry also has repeatedly stressed that the Russian military did not participate in the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

The SBU at the same time has published video of interrogation of Alexander and Erofeeva, during which the men called themselves soldiers operating. Erofeev explained that he gave this testimony under torture. Ukrainian law enforcement authorities have accused Alexander and Erofeeva at once under several articles of the criminal code, including terrorism and facilitating terrorist attack. The Prosecutor’s office asked to sentence the Russians to life imprisonment.
