The FAS will attract the operator “Kijani” to the business on advertising of the children’s Park


Earlier FAS has published reports of a possible violation of the companies “Rosinter” and “Children’s world” of advertising law.

MOSCOW, 25 Mar. The Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia has postponed consideration of three cases concerning the advertising of the children’s Park “Kidzania” using the trademarks of networks “the Crossroads” and “Children’s world”, restaurants “IL Patio”, and decided to bring to the consideration of the operator of the Park — LLC “Nectarium”.

“FAS has postponed consideration of three cases concerning the involvement of the person who placed this ad”, — told reporters the head of Department for control over advertising and unfair competition FAS of Nikolay Kartashov. “If in the process it will all come down to one legal entity, it is likely that these cases will be consolidated”, he added.

In February, the Federal Antimonopoly service reported a possible violation of the companies “Rosinter” (operates a network of restaurants “IL Patio”), “Crossroads” and “Children’s world” of the law on advertising: the Agency considers inappropriate a reference to the support of the government of Moscow in the advertising campaign in the Moscow metro on the opening of the Park “Kidzania”. The service felt that the information contained in the advertisement was aimed at attracting attention to trademark companies, and the social advertisement were not.

Then the company said that they are not the advertisers in this campaign, and provided “Kidzania” the right to use its trademarks. On Friday, the representative of “Crossroads” said that the trademark of the network could only be used a certain way — for placement in the Park. “He was given permission to use our trademark only within the limits of the premises, and solely for the purpose of this agreement is to promote our corporate identity under the premises of the children’s town. To place an ad in the subway or anywhere else outside of the shopping center were not discussed, instructions were not given, the advertising was not consistent”, — she explained.

Kartashov, commenting on the decision of the Commission, explained that the company “Metrium” will have to present their version of events. At the same time, the involvement of the government of Moscow to the Affairs of speech does not go yet.

“Kidzania” is a worldwide network of educational parks, where children receive the skills real jobs. The first “Kidzania” opened in 1999 in Mexico, since such parks are opening all over the world. In training children’s Park opened in late January in the shopping center “Aviapark” in the North-West of the capital.
