Ukraine imposed sanctions against the participants of the “Savchenko list”

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has put into effect sanctions against the persons involved in the case of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko. The text of the decree published on the website of the President.

Among others the list included the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Director of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov, Deputy Prosecutor General Victor grin, a member of the Public chamber of Moscow Pavel Karpov, whom the media called a freelance employee of the presidential administration, and Savchenko called kidnapper and the Prosecutor of the Crimea Natalia Polonskaya and the self-proclaimed leader of the Luhansk national Republic Igor Carpentry.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom MEPs were urged to include in the list, it was not.

The list was 84 people.

March 22, Poroshenko announced personal sanctions against those who are involved in “prosecuting” Savchenko and Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov.

“Against all those who contributed to the prosecution of Nadiya Savchenko, Oleg Sentsov and other Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian patriots will be introduced personal sanctions, both Ukrainian and international”, — said Poroshenko.
