“In designing the operation for the liberation of Palmyra took a direct active participation of Russian military advisers”, he said at a briefing Wednesday (quoted by “Interfax”). Other details he did not disclose.
According to Rudskoy, during operations for the liberation of Palmyra during the period from 7 to 27 March, Russian military aircraft flew about 500 sorties and struck more than 2 thousand strikes on ISIL terrorists. As a result of these strikes, the General noted, were destroyed by major strong points and artillery positions on the heights of lords.
Rudskoy said that the Russian aircraft destroyed most of the control centers of the militants in the first two days of the operation.
