Belarus complained of a deterioration in the quality of Russian oil

The quality of Russian oil supplied to Belarus, has recently deteriorated, said the Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Kobyakov “RIA Novosti”. He noted that between Moscow and Minsk there is a continuing debate on the questions connected with deliveries of raw materials. According to Kobyakov, until the parties find a common language, but there are moments of “pure technological and structural plan.”

“For example, we want the oil, supplied to Belarus by pipeline, was higher quality, because recently its quality characteristics are reduced,” — said the Belarusian Prime Minister. The price remains the same, he added.

Kobyakov also noted that the Belarusian economy can not sustain the low cost of gasoline in Russia. “If we get a ton of gasoline minus $100, it no economy can survive,” he said. According to him, Belarus, the Russian market remains a priority, but he “should not be unprofitable”.

In 2016 Belarus shall deliver to Russia 1 million tons of light oil products, and Russia to Belarus to 23 million tons of oil

In March it became known that Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who heads the government Commission on the fuel and Energy sector, recommended that “Tatneft” and “Gazprom” to suspend deliveries of petroleum products to Belarus. Such a recommendation he gave following the meeting of the Commission on 17 February, which discussed the sharp rise in the supply of petroleum products in this country.

Later, Dvorkovich said that we are not talking about the global review of relations between Moscow and Minsk in the oil and gas industry. According to him, the authorities suspect is a member of structure “Tatneft” company “TANECO” and “Salavatnefteorgsintez”, which is included in “Gazprom”, in optimization of taxation in the supply of raw materials to Belarus.

“Volumes have increased dramatically, so we, as with solvents, I noticed that it may be the scheme of optimization of taxation or customs duties and were given the recommendation to suspend deliveries until the situation is cleared,” said Deputy Prime Minister.

Both companies had suspended supplies to Belarus, he said. But according to railway freight forwarders, it did only “Tatneft”. Controlled by “Salavatnefteorgsintez” the Enterprise of industrial railway transport from the beginning of March exported to Belarus 8,5 thousand tons of gas condensate distillate, which can be used as diesel fuel and in the production of high-octane gasoline. The representative of Gazprom said that “daughters” monopolies have increased deliveries to Belarus in 2015 due to favorable market conditions. The resumption of supplies in March, the representative refused to comment. In “Tatneft” the situation is not commented.
