Armenia accused Turkey of “supporting aggression” of Azerbaijan in Karabakh


According to the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan, the application of which leads portal Tert.am, Ankara “calls” Baku “aggression against self-determined Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”.

In Kocharian’s words, the statements of the Turkish leadership are “racist”. “And this fits into the logic of the policy pursued by the current Turkish leadership, which results in the propagation of the wave instability, terrorism and bloodshed in Turkey and abroad,” said Deputy foreign Minister of Armenia.

On the eve of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences in connection with death of servicemen during the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“The Turkish President expressed support and solidarity in connection with the events on the frontline of Armenia and Azerbaijan, noted that the Turkish nation is always with the Azerbaijani people”, — reported the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.

On the night of April 2 in Nagorno-Karabakh fighting resumed. The parties accuse each other of provocations. The Azerbaijani defense Ministry said that during the fighting killed 12 Azerbaijani servicemen. The Armenian army, according to the Agency, more than 100 Armenian soldiers were wounded or killed. The defense Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has estimated the losses of the enemy in 200 people. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, as reported by “Interfax”, has announced that 18 soldiers of the defense Army of Nagorno Karabakh were killed and 35 were wounded.
