HILL, 31 Mar. Amendments to the education act should help bring order to the payment of social grants and improve their targeting, said on Thursday Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during traditional sessions of the government.
Amendments to the law on education were included in the agenda of the meeting, said in a statement published on the website of the government of the Russian Federation.
“The amendments should help bring order in payment, to better targeting of scholarships. Of course, it is important that this social awarded to those who really need it, first of all, the students who do not have any additional income, have no sources of family support”, — said Medvedev.
Among the innovations of these amendments, he said, is to expand the list of participants who are entitled to receive financial assistance from scholarship funds: available other specialists, including “graduate students, interns, assistants, interns and trainees”.
