The Kremlin said there is no crisis of confidence in law enforcement agencies

The President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the creation of the National guard on the basis of Internal troops of the MIA of Russia, which was announced today by President Vladimir Putin, not connected with the “crisis of confidence” to other law enforcement agencies.

“The creation of the national guard does not mean the crisis of confidence in other security agencies,” Peskov told journalists, the correspondent reports .

He stressed that the appointed head of the national guard Viktor Zolotov, will “obey the commander-in-chief, i.e. the President.” Answering the question about whether the President has personal confidence in Zolotova, Peskov said that “for sure”.

“The President, commander-in-chief does not appoint people to lead the security forces, not caring for them personal trust”, — said Peskov. “Zolotov in General has a very rich experience in the security services and, of course, it is a very good start to guide such a large service like the national guard”, — he added.

Peskov also noted that interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev is not going to resign on the background of the creation of new power structures. “The Minister Kolokoltsev the resignation didn’t ask,” said the press Secretary of the President.
