Blows of aircraft of the Russian VKS included in the groups in Syria, thwarted the terrorists and “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra” (banned in Russia) in the region of Aleppo. This is stated in the information Bulletin of the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in the Syrian Arab Republic, published on the website of the Ministry of defense.
“After the artillery preparation, the terrorists of the gangs controlled by the “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra” a total of up to 1.5 thousand people with the support of 3 tanks and 20 vehicles with mounted with heavy machine guns from areas ashrafiyya and Al-Shababi city of Aleppo attacked positions of Kurdish militia in the neighborhood of Sheikh Maqsood. As a result of attacks killed 18 civilians, among them children and 11 fighters of the Kurdish self-defense units. Injuries of various severity received 36 people”, — stated in the message.
However, the attack disrupted the actions of the Russian pilots. “Due to sharp aggravation of the situation after conducting aerial reconnaissance and determine the exact target coordinates, the aircraft of the Russian space forces struck blows to positions of terrorists “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra” in peri-urban areas of Aleppo disrupting an attempted attack,” — explained in the Ministry of defence
The Bulletin notes that the number of settlements that have joined the reconciliation process remained unchanged – 58. In the past days, the cessation of hostilities was observed in most provinces of Syria: it was recorded 4 violations (3 in Latakia province and one in HOMS).
The staff of the Centre for reconciliation, receive the hotline message about the increase in the number of operating in Aleppo city groups “Dzhabhat EN-Nusra”. The military has concluded that there is a potential terrorist training to a large-scale offensive.
In Syria, the 27 of February there is a ceasefire. Exceptions are the militants of the “Islamic state”, “jabhat al-EN-Nusra” (both groups are banned in Russia) and other organizations recognized as terrorist the security Council.
