Russian billionaire Yuri Milner invested in a Chinese company Horizon Robotics, which is developing a platform of artificial intelligence, said on Wednesday the website 36kr.com citing a company statement. The amount of investment the company did not disclose. Money is to be spent on research and development of new technologies and to attract new professionals, said Horizon Robotics.
“Artificial intelligence will change the world and make human life better”, — quotes the words 36kr Milner.
Horizon Robotics is developing a platform of artificial intelligence based on neural networks which includes software and chips that allow to achieve of human interaction with the computer, the computer’s ability to perceive the environment and low energy consumption. Horizon Robotics have already developed one version of a neural operating system that is under development is system of the autopilot “Hugo” and platform to “smart” furniture “Andersen”.
The company created the ex-head of the Laboratory of deep machine learning Kai Yu Baidu. The headquarters of Horizon Robotics is located in Beijing. “The vision is in the definition of “brain” things for convenience, safety and entertainment”, — noted on the website of Horizon Robotics. Among its investors — venture capital funds Sequoia Capital, Hillhouse Capital, Morningside Ventures and others.
