Saudi Arabia and Egypt will build a bridge across the Red sea

Saudi Arabia and Egypt will be United by a bridge, which will pass through the Red sea. About it informs “bi-Bi-si” referring to the statement the king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud. It was made during the visit of the king to the capital of Egypt.

“This historic step by connecting two continents, Africa and Asia, is a qualitative transformation, which will increase trade between the two continents to an unprecedented level,” said the Saudi king.

In turn, the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi suggested naming the bridge in honour of the Saudi king Salman.

Plans for the construction of a bridge across the Red sea were sounded and earlier. Then it was about the project of a bridge across the Straits of Tiran which links the Gulf of Aqaba with the main part of the red sea. The cost of this project was estimated at $3-4 billion.

King Salman makes five days in Egypt, where, expected to be announced about new trade agreements and cooperation agreements. “Today we are opening a new Chapter in the way of Arab joint action,” — said the President of Egypt on Friday.
